Surf City Boat Rental at 805 Roland Avenue, Surf City, North Carolina.

Everything started decent, we were informed that the boat was just worked on and were lucky to take a few hours instead of a full day. Headed to the pass at the south end, we are locals living in hampstead, boat ran fine until we beached and shut it off. Having boats for years we were able yo get it started, this is after pushing off the beach and floating for 20 minutes near the pass. Turns out the throttle adjustment wasn't set right or had vibrated enough to where the boat started on a choke but wouldn't engage. Headed back with young kids on the boat, we stopped to swim about a mile and a half from the bridge, very close to the boat launch where we live. Boat would not start, or engage rather... called the rental company and they came, took maybe 20 minutes, played around with boat, brought it to the marina and adjusted the screw, took maybe 40 mi bites or so from phone call, boat was started and engaged, drove back to the rental dock and were charged for the hour used prior to the final break down. Upon explanation, I was asked to calm down, did not want to hear what our story was and didn't care. They knew the boat had an issue upon us leaving, knew we were the first to test it after the fuel line or pump was replaced, truly didn't care that 10 people 5 locals got stuck on the water or that there were kids as young as two. Evrything was great till the boat broke down, you would think that would be a big apology rather than a problem..
